About The Event

“KELVIN’S ANGEL TREE” began in 2012 as a vision for world missions outreach by our co-founder Pastor Cathy Black. Using our connections with Rejoice International Network its purpose is to raise funds to help make Christmas a little brighter for the truly needy orphans & widows in third-world nations where true poverty exists.

In 2017, one orphanage had 60 children on sugar water for two weeks because of a lack of food before our donation arrived. Jehovah Jireh. Because of your generosity we raised $4,000.00+ last year, and were able to provide a Christmas meal, as well as gifts of clothing and additional food stores.

Our Angel Tree “Kelvin” refers to Kelvin Fields, one of Apostle George Black’s sons in the faith who was preparing for his first missions trip to Nigeria when he suddenly became ill and passed. Today “Kelvin’s Angel Tree” continues to go to Nigeria and beyond for him. The nations helped in 2017 included Nigeria, South Africa, Haiti, Pakistan, and Uganda.

Our goal this year is to double last year and raise $8,000.00.

We can only do this if all our RI Network Partners and their churches and ministries are willing to get involved. Here’s how you can help.

Please join us in celebrating Christmas in July by offering Kelvin’s Angel Tree Jars in your church beginning in the month of July. Every Pastor or Minister needs to take one as an example to your church/ministry. Please tell your people you are personally participating and invite them to do so as well. This will not work if the leader does not set the example.

Each church/ministry should designate someone to be responsible for the jars.

Here’s how it works: Each Jar represents a goal of $50.00 for Kelvin’s Angel Tree. You can take as many jars as you want. Some even take them to work and invite co-workers to contribute.

We encourage each person/family to take at least one jar and start adding loose change (pocket change) daily, then add a few small bills each week, and before you know it, you’ve saved $10 a month for 5 months, and you have reached your goal! That will add up to $50 by November. Wow, what a difference $50 will make!

The jars will need to be turned in by the last Sunday in November. All the money donated will be wired overseas the first week of December for a brighter Christmas that glorifies Jesus.

“If you help the poor, you are lending to the LORD—and he will repay you!” Proverbs 19:17 NLT

Thank you for your generosity! God Bless You!
